Thanks for the feedback. I have always been fascinated with tornadoes and other vortex-like activity all my life. I hope to see a tornado (from a distance) someday.
These were a bit tricky to take because I was trying to get both the surface of the water and the cyclonic activity below in focus. I had a lot of near misses. I guess that's the beauty of these digital cameras. You can "waste" a lot of shots in order to get what you want.
I am not too happy with the debris that is floating around (only because it reminds me of pictures printed from dusty negatives.) I just want to do some "spotting" with Photoshop. Is that wrong? Am I being "Monkish"?
Although I'm not sure what being monkish is (lol) it is JUST FINE to edit your pictures. Everyone does. Making minor corrections such as these white spots is very insignificant. Even more substantial changes such as color, and combining multiple images, is okay as long as you're not a photojournalist. We're artists, not recorders
Monk is a popular TV show about an obsessive-compulsive detective. He just can't seem to leave anything alone. I have one thing in common with him, I'm obsessed with symmetry.
I am not averse to manipulating some of my photographs but I usually like to keep the straight shots straight if you know what I mean. Here's one where I pulled out all the stops.

I have this facination with taking photos of "inanimate objects". I'm so excited I found a thread I can post them on!
This one was taken a while back with my Panansonic DMC-FZ7 before I knew what all this exif stuff meant - back then I just took pictures and hoped for the best (and surprisingly enough managed some pretty good shots!) For some reason I just love this picture!
