I recently just got my first digital camera and have been experimenting. I've been taking b&w photos for over two years with a 35mm camera but I've always wanted to play with the painting with light technique so I finally did. Let me know what you think good or bad.
Ronin, that first shot is amazing! To my (illiterate) eyes it looks like an Asian calligraphy letter. Although I might PP out that ghosty face (unless ghosty is the effect you're going for.) Good job!
Great job, well done.
Of the two versions of first one I prefer the one with face in, it adds a mysterious feel to image, but also, once you finally distinguish it adds a point of reference to understanding the image.
The images are reminiscent of Salvador Dali's work.
Some of the 404 (yep, four hundred and four) Dire wolf skulls on display at the La Brea Tar Pits/Page Museum. Sorry about the reflection :-(
