Thanks, gmtech. We don't usually get great sunsets here in San Francisco. Much of the year the fog comes in before the sun goes down. In winter, if it isn't raining, we'll sometimes get some colorful sunsets, but the sun sets so early in the evening I usually don't get out to snap them.

Thanks, gmtech. I hardly ever catch sunsets/sunrises like this, they only seem to occur when I don't have a camera with me or when I don't have time to take a picture. I was lucky this time that I had a camera with me.

my camera is teh sux! i really need a new one asap.

so i realize what time a day it is and go to the balcony to see if i could get a half way decent sunset picture but as you can see in the 1st shot there was too much sun. so i wait for it to go half way down or so to get a better shot. i return 2 minutes later to see the sun is where i wanted it BUT A @#$% CLOUD IS BLOCKING IT.. GRRRRRRRR!

Kev, that's a great shot. There's an incredible sense of drama there.
