    That's a different photo. This one has a bigger sun, no clouds or tree, no lake, etc.

    I don't know your camera so can only offer general advice.

    1. Set ISO low.
    2. Point far away from sun to get exposure setting, keep button half depressed, recompose and shoot. That is, expose for the sky not the sun. Let the sun be over exposed.
    3. Don't take direct photos of the sun. I believe it can damage your camera's sensor.

    Thanks for the compliment Kristy. Those photos didn't come out too bad for my first sunset pics. I really do love my PowerShot S2 !

    As for the links: I don't use the links icon, I use the Image icon (the little yellow one with mountains on it) . I just separate them with new lines.
