    A Clock Tower sunset...

The flare is real, not photoshopped.

Thanks! It's not an HDR -- just a bit of messing with various levels in Lightroom.

Awesome shot. I thought it was HDR at first too. It must have been very difficult to get the front of the clock tower lit so nicely with the sun setting behind it eh?

Therein being the lightroom levels work. Yay for RAW files and large sensors!

Here's what the original shot looked like without any conversion...

I actually didn't have any hope for the shot because the metering was all messed up, but due to the miracle of RAW files, I was able to add fill lighting and tweak the contrast and vibrance in Lightroom to get the final image. I got rid of some of the lens flaring in PS.

This is not a Sunset...as such

Dusk - after the sunset - the view up my road.
Been enjoying the blueness of the sky at night before it turns completely dark.
    Bit of a gamble - taken on my 28 - 200mm Sigma @28 (= 42mm equiv) ~
1/5th second at f5.6 hand held. One of several I took - couldn't decide which to post..
