Both are great pictures, though I like the first a little better. I can scarcely understand how you guys can get such a large amount of water to stand still.

    Pano of a recent sunset.

This is a pano of a sunset that I had posted on the Nikon pic of the day thread. Done using Hugin. My first Pano so don't be too harsh, please.
Hope it is not too wide, stitched from 4 images covering about 180°. And, yes there ws that much ckylight casting red glow over everything. Had I gone vertical it was all the way to the Eastern Horizon.

    Falconest,

Looks like it stitched pretty well. Only a little noticeable ghosting in what are probably th elast two frames on the right. Looks a lot more yellow than red on my monitor.

Yep, at that point it was bright orange. It got redder later on. Very bright at this time. Even the steel girders of the transmission line tower were colored with it., as well as the plants which really took on an odd hue.
RE: the stitching, yep noticed that. Another pano of the same 4 images doesn't show the ghosting but 'that' is suppose to be a 'preliminary' one.

    Phill,

With a sky like that you are probably wishing you had done a bit of pruning. Love the pattern on the clouds.

Yes it would have been a good idea but just been too lazy this year. Garden has taken rather a back seat.
