I agree with George a lovely atmospheric sunset well done SOD. How did you get the ring around the sun, was it natural caused by the atmospheric conditions or is it generated by the lenses in the camera? I have never seen that effect on any sunsets I have taken.

    Clearwater Beach

Inspired by all the beautiful photographs in this thread here are my best efforts so far. They are a bit more traditional and both pretty much point & shoot shots on the Oly C40Z taken on Clearwater Beach in Florida a couple of years ago.

    Here's a sunrise taken almost 5 years ago with a Nikon E800

It's from the rim of NgoroNgoro crater, Tanzania

    Thank you.
It was natural. I saw it and I do not know what it was.

Very nice. I've been to Ngorongoro crater too. What animals did you see there?

First attempt at an upload. Here is one taken with my Olympus 2MP P&S from my front porch.

All very excellent results. I find it amazing how Sunsets can differ from all parts of this world.

Pretty much everything but leopards. We were hoping to get to see a kill, but no luck on that.
