I have a panosonic DMC FZ8. I am new to photograhy so I am still learning a lot about my camera... so far I love it...but I am seeing a lot of great shots coming from slr's and think I might upgrade in a year or two when I am more comfortable with the camera.
Here are a few from last night's sunset which was particularly beautiful. I was lazy and didn't bring my tripod along, which I'm still kicking myself for, so they aren't as good as they could've been.
And just ignore the crooked horizon in this one. Can anyone tell me where the straighten tool in PS CS2 is?

The world gives me subjects, I just arrange them in a viewfinder.

this is a great shot drew. love the composition especially. you could probably get a bit more out of the foreground with d-lighting aswell.

Thanks Rooz. This type of nature/landscape photography is really what I love so hopefully I've got some sort of skill at it. I was afraid to lighten it too much because to be able to hand-hold this shot I had to bump the ISO to 800 and I was worried about creating too much extra noise. But I'll probably go back and re-edit it.

Drew, beautiful shots!! I love all of them, but the one that warmed my heart was the second. Simply beautiful. It's like capturing a dream. Great work and keep them coming.
