Midnight when the sun goes down in the Arctic, it gets damn cold. These two whaling captains maintain an all night vigil, waiting for animals to begin the migratioin route as they have done for thousands of years !

I got so lucky with the birds in the shot. I walked out the house, set up the tripod, turned on the camera, the birds flew by and shot the photo. It all happened so fast.
