    Here is another shot - taken during the snow last month.
    I think this is the same robin as before, because he seems to appear from
    the same hole in the riverbank each time. I love his rounded little body, all fluffed up against the cold.

    We are also under the snow as well, 49 of the 50 states have seen snow!

    Makes the birds show up to my feeder more often. Seen some UK Robins on
    another forum but have more blue on them, males maybe?

    Apparently there are only subtle differences in plumage between male and female robins.
    I've read that the angle of brown feathers on the forehead which merge into the red of the face forms a 'U'-shape in males,
    and a 'V'-shape in females.
    Other than that there are no real differences, but to me the red breast of the male bird seems more vivid in colour than the female.

    To my knowledge, UK robins don't have any blue colouring in their plumage!
