    Ok, here goes.....

500mm and a six grand (UK ) lens still doesn't get you that close.

But fortunately, my 25 manual AI-S teleconverter saves the day (ish).

    All the best, Paul.

Nest was only shoulder high so no ladder needed.

Now the Mourning Doves nest did require a step-ladder. Their nest became a yearly event in the front yard for five years so I'd check it out on a daily basis.

The picture of the fledging & parent dove was taken just after the fledging jumped/(flew a little) from nest to the limb about five feet away. The parent dove at first landed beside him and then leaned against him to provide a steadying support. They remained for just a couple of minutes before both flew off.

Great shot of Martins on the power line. 380mm is all I have with the stock uz. Used to have the 1.7x B-300 tele. Sold it. But am considering getting another one. Thought I was through with long range teles, but guess not

A case where quality makes up for quantity...

Great picture! In the honored tradition of Cold Snails 1.3MP squirel shots.

For those unfamiliar with the Oly 2100UZ it's a 2MP (10X) unstabilized Ultra Zoom, circa late 2000.

    Thanks again XOO

It is Stabilized with AF Low-Light Assist, Infrared Remote with zoom & shutter control, Lens doesn't retract so it is ready to shoot the moment turned on (settings will stay where left when turned off - no extending lens from wide-angle and having to refocus), Manual Focus available with distance scale, Manual Settings for Aperture/Shutter (if desired).
From 15,000 shots experience may be best Olympus has come up with
