I liked the 'Ducks' that were Canadian Geese.
With all the other threads going I thought I'd do a UK Pigeon
Shame about the reduction in resolution - orig was 5mp which
revealed loads of plumage details and colours (A-200)
Geoff
Here's my US pigeon, caught in Charleston in December.
Is that kind of picture really necessary? It kind of drops the tone of the forum really... and Is that kind of 'teaching' really going to aid your 8 (now 10) year old?

Sadly, someone must have complained and now that picture has been removed. Drops the tone of the forum? Really, it's people's lack of sense of humor that hampers creativity.
You didn't like the picture, say it. Discussing your minute point on how I raise a child is none of your concern. You're comments are no sooner welcome in this forum as was the comments over the opinions of that picture, or even the picture itself.

Whether you agree or disagree with others over this - it happens ~ someone submits something that others dislike for one reason or another, or someone submits something in the wrong place.... whatever. Best to leave it and move on - we value your photos and input. I think we all need to try to be sensitive to the general mood and character of the Forum
Agree with Geoff. I think when we comment on photos, we have to be sensitive to the moods and feelings of other members here. When in doubt, be nice. Don't say nasty things and all will be peaceful.

OK, ok. I apologise for my comment. I just felt that the photo wasn't really in keeping with the thread! I will keep my thoughts to myself in future. And as to my comment on the raising of your child, it wasn't fair of me and I do apologise. must have been having a bad day!
