    Oh, i'm glad you like my photos and thanks for comments...

    Well opportunity showed up and i just tryed to make best from my not really appropriate lense for willd life 18-105.

    I think you've got the size of bird exactly right to the size of frame it's flying into. So if they're uncropped you've used exactly the right focal length and composition.

    No, photo is croped. 105mm is sadly not enough for uncroped wildlife photos .
    Right now I dont own any longer lense and it is on my list to get one, but first I have to get one external flash.

    Both photo are well taken IMO, I like the second one the most, probably due to the darker background and the bird's flying position. As for the lens/body - the results are even better technically if you did crop it.
