    Well - I just pointed my zoom @270mm (=405mm equiv) into a tree at dusk as I liked the lighting - only hand held - so it's not perfect!
    D80; Sigma 70 - 300; ISO640, f5.6, 320th sec, -0.7ev

    I shot me a bird today

    1) 30D Shot at ISO 800, 1/40, f/5.6 @ 35mm.
    2) 30D Shot at ISO 800, 1/40, f/4.0 @ 70mm.

    Osprey Series

    Beautiful images everyone so many that you can't comment on just one. Been awhile since I've posted here so here's a few from the summer and more to come.

    I was told about this osprey awhile back and thought I should visit him soon before he takes off. I was thrilled to see him perched upon a basball diamond light post where a nest was. I started off taking pics of him perched, and it didn't look like he wanted to fly. Just before I went home he blessed me with some flight shots. For the first time witnessing these creatures it was quite the experience!

    Here's a few pics to share...I've got many more but these are the ones that stood out the most to me.

    Tyger-- those are great. #1 is wonderful, but #4 is my favorite for the way those merciless eyes are staring straight at the camera.
