    Perfect Schubi!
But I would advise you at editing pictures to keep the initial EXIF information.
Tell, please, you used expo correction?
    Thanks. Taras Kusnirenko

    Hi Taras,

the picture was originally 5MP, so i had to resize it in order to be able to post it. I also converted it to 72 dpi (the original had 300 dpi) using the MicroSoft Photo Editor. When I saved the converted image, the EXIF information was lost.
How can I edit (resize, convert etc.) an image and preserve the EXIF?

    Schubi

    PS: no exposure correction used.

Many thanks for the exhaustive answer!
I would advise you to use more simple and effective program for such simple operations as crop, resizing, etc.
I use for these purposes program IrfanView v 3.97. It is possible free-download from a site of the developer: http://www.irfanview.com/
I recommend also download to it plug-ins (for view EXIF) and the language module.
I widely use this program for viewing images and the elementary operations with it.
    Certainly it preserve the EXIF.

Man, I'm still just in awe...this evening I saw something that probably won't happen again in my lifetime. These guys are pretty rare around these parts, though about 31 of them were counted here a few winters ago. To think he flew just about over me left me pretty breathless, I guess because I've always held Bald Eagles in such esteem being the national bird of the US and symbolic of many good things. I haven't even had as much luck getting a good picture of a cardinal or sparrow. ;D
