    Gracie...brilliant shot!

    Val...just think how your heron shot would have looked if all you had was a 3x zoom! At least you got the shot and could share it with us.

    Here's an odd sight in NYC...

    Canon S2, ISO 50, f/3.5, 1/60 sec., focal length 72mm (432mm 35mm equiv.)

    Thanks Val, and JTL. I just got my first SLR camera less than 2 years ago... broke it and then upgraded to a digital SLR. Since then, it's really become more of an obsession than just a hobby. I'm learning more and more as time goes by. Planning to order a new lens this week, so my obsession will be in high gear for sure!

    That is so true JTL ....The S2 has opened up a whole new world that my old sony wouldnt let me into. And it doesnt take a bad snap

    A small Heron

    I've been buried in Macro for a looong time, there are some awesome shots on this thread, Here is my humble contribution, hope you like. oh, by the way, he was about 10 feet away, focusing on dinner.
