    Great shots guys....here are some early morning ducks..taken yesterday after getting to the site at about 7am to try and get a decent heron shot! Still trying!



    and a pretty little grebe.....this one was a long way out and even with the extender on could'nt get any closer than this......hope you like.

    I had much better luck today at the local pond , last time I moved my chair and I heard donk, plop, my adapter ring rolled in that ucky dirty water, Thank goodness for ebay

    New here. Trying to figure out how to post a pic, but I don't see any instructions for doing so. I'll make a guess and I'll give it a shot anyway. This is one of my favorite bird shots ever... a female Ruby-throated Hummingbird. Taken a few months back so I don't have all the settings, but I'm sure it was on shutter priority mode.

    Here is one of many pics of the same heron I took this weekend, afraid non of them are brilliant, I just couldn't get close enough even with the tele extender on.....

    Picture is quite heavily cropped, Settings TV Priority, 1/160, F3.5, evaluative, EV -1/3, ISO 100
