Hi everyone .....afraid I've been slacking recently, some great shots on here as usual.

JTL - love those baby doves.

Snowrdr - lovely shots, I've got some 'nearly' (he kept moving away!) heron shots I took the other day, not sure if any good enough to post though! Hope to get back and try again!

Here's a little chap I caught this morning having his bath, doesn't look to happy about being photo'd. Lets have your comments good and bad!

Along the same theme by SNOWDR, here's a miniature and giant I got at the Long Beach Aquarium park on Sunday.



sadly, I forgot to decrease my ISO when I left the aquarium. Still at 1600.

My first heron capture
I first spotted this heron on our way to the parking lot from this place we went to today know for it's geese, ducks, turtles etc. I went chasing after him to get a decent shot, but he kept flying away and it was way too dark to get him in flight. He finally rested upon a rock and even posed for me I took quite a few shots, but because it was so dark i had to use a flash and up the ISO a bit.

I'll be going back there tomorrow after work

You guys make me want to hang my head and give up...really awesome pictures.

Here's my first Great Blue Heron shot from the second day I had my camera. I hope it fits okay here...can't make out much detail on him but I really liked his silhouette over the colors. Post processing was resize, unsharp mask, and the frame.

this gull was leading a pack of gulls, i'm sure it would've made a better shot if i got all the wings. I was going for the grainy b&w look.

Dawoofo - don't give up just yet the blue heron was excellent. If you had just wiped out the grasses near to him in photoshop it would have been perfect.
