    Haven't posted in this thread before but after a Photography day organised at Fens Falconry by the Olympus e-user group and some great tuition by Andy Elliot of 361 photography I did manage to get these. Still a lot to learn but I was really pleased with the 75-300mm lens.

    Being in a kayak lets you get up close to a lot of birds. And you get to shoot at close to eye level with them. I came upon this pair of mallards grooming and preening. The male would scratch a bit duck under water and give his wings a good stretch.

    Out wandering along the river when this osprey surprised me flying right out of the river in my direction. Managed to catch this one as he flew past. Still trying to find the best AF mode on the E-M1 with the 50-200 for birds in flight against trees. Was not really set for such when he took off as I was in S-AF. Really wish he had caught something.

    Who says the Oly can't do BiFs. It just takes a bit of work. You did very well with that one.
