Nice enough Saturday to get out in the kayak and chase some wildlife. Still need to work on my in boat hand holding skills. This one was pretty good. I actually like a couple of the blurry in flight ones as well.
Sorry to say, but to me this would have been a throwaway. Not saying that I take great bird photos or anything like that, just saying that I don't like the shot - too blurry.
It is one of those I keep to consider reprocessing into a stylized painting or such. Had the bird been completely unrecognizable or in a less interesting position it would be a full delete. I actually sometimes prefer those that appear too blurry over those that seem to be slightly blurry for their abstract quality. When the the image seems just not sharp my brain wants to will it into sharpness rather than evaluate the sense of the scene; think impressionism versus realism. It generally works better when the original intent was to create the impressionist view through well planned panning, but sometimes a rescue is possible. Here is a less blurry one from the same sequence. This one really is just at the not quite blurry enough and too far from sharp state. Another to play with in Painter when I finally sit down with that software toy.
Ah, okay, I can understand that point of view. Which means that maybe I discard shots which I should keep. I do like the one which you posted immediately above better though.
