Great job catching an owl. I hear them, but can never seem to locate them in the wild.

I see I started this thread - so I should really post something from time to time -
not taken lots of bird photos of late however.
Here's one I took recently on holiday....

Stalked a couple of Sandhill Cranes in Homer, AK. They did not want to take the chicks out of the tall grass. Might have been due to the large bald eagle population in the area.

While we were in Homer there was a great nest just off the main street. It looked like there were two eaglets. Both parents were taking turns feeding them.

Homer, Alaska. The nest was only about 30-40 feet up and the birds did not mind company.
