As has been true for the last few years, our spring seems to be heralded by the presence of seagulls that fly up the Susquehanna River from the Chesapeake Bay. They come up to feed on the insects that seem to condense out of the water and occasional snow on the ground. Resident ducks and geese also seem to enjoy that bounty.

Some nice shots. Gatorland is definitely a unique birding destination. I think as many people go for the birds as for the gators. I know I would return for the birds. The density of nests is amazing. Quite a symbiotic relationship with the gators effectively guarding them.
Yes it is, and I believe you are right about the people. I am heading back again this weekend, really looking forward to it. The gators defending/feasting on the misfortunate.
