While I agree with all of the above comments about Majik_Imaje's Snow-Owl post, I suspect that the difference in opinion could possibly be explained by cultural differences. I guess to an eskimo, a snow-owl is simply food and considered stupid, like some people consider sheep. The world through indigenous eyes is probably seen differently, like Australian Aboriginals/Kooris consider the echidna to be a delicacy, whereas Australians of European origin consider it a national icon. Cultural difference however doesn't imo excuse cultural insensitivity, which cuts both ways. Posting pictures of dead animals or of animals in distress, is really distasteful and quite offensive.
Regardless of difference of opinion or not, any animal caught in a trap whether for food or by accident is nothing to "chuckle" at. Animals caught for food should be respected, appreciated and honoured. Animals caught by accident, and who are obviously suffering because of it should not be laughed at. I'm not trying to be political, but whether cultural difference or not, animals who are killed for any reason should not be "chuckled" at. I'm not saying, "don't kill animals," but please respect them.
