Val I love your Curlew in flight. Ive been shooting birds since I got my S700 just over a month ago and can appreciate the difficulties with getting a nice shot with everything in place. As for the Puffins, Im sure they are discussing the next clown convention. It looks like they still have their makeup on.
Thanks - the Curlew was a very difficult shot - high winds, hand held 400mm lens and a stressed bird. The Gulls were not making his life easy.

XOO, having spent many hours one week not long ago photographing hummingbirds I can appreciate your pic here and just say breathtaking. Its the perfect shot I strove for but never achieved. I got 50 or so good shots, but not that one perfect shot. My only negative comment about your shot is .... too bad it wasnt the male. Great job.
