Meet Liberty, A Bald Eagle who lives at a local Bird of Prey Centre....She is known to have a dislike of the guy who organised the day out and is letting him know it......
Both shots taken with Canon EOS 20d, Sigma 50-500mm, Tripod mounted.

well, here's my contribution.. but its not because they are good pictures (they are horrible) or because of quality... its just kinda weird. see, i live in brooklyn ny, which isn't really known for its tropical climate and wildlife.. but these guys live in the tree down below my apartment. i managed to snap a couple quick shots before i left for work.

We have the same here in the Netherlands. In The Hague there are green tropical birds (like the ones you have posted) that have originaly been brought to the country to be kept in a cage. Some escaped, though, and miraculously enough they adapted to the climate and now they live in large numbers in The Hague and its surroundings.
Tomorrow I will go to the Hague. I'll take my camera with me. Perhaps I can get some nice shots of these birds.

I have not posted any birds for ages but was quite pleased with this one considering it was a grey day & most of the light was coming from behind. I also shot it through the cage wires as you see behind. If you look closely at the wire on the right & the middle of the birds brest the shot is blurred due to the presence of the cage wire very close to the camera lens. No PP on this just a little crop.

I was in The Hague today, but I couldn't take any shots of the tropical birds we have there. They didn't seem to be around today.
I did take some shots of gulls and doves.
