Yes you're right Tim. When it was suggested to resize the image for the forum, I was at work and therefore didn't have access to the original. So I took the easy option....downloaded from the forum, resized and reposted.
I guess the multiple saving to JPG didn't do it any favours.

i dont know the name of that insect either but there are hundreds around here at the moment. they have turned brown now though..

Erad, those are great shots! Did you get them with your 28-90, or your 70-300?
(I hope the 70-300, because then maybe there's hope for me ... )

Found this little spiky guy in Bermuda...
... taken with a TZ1 ( ), but I'm thinking of getting a Nikon D50. Would the stock lens and equipment work OK for macros like this?
