jeff, a great shot...

constructive criticism: (as it seems no one gives it here, often enough)

i know i'm extremely guilty of this myself, but a bit of noise in the background greens...almost like the "sharpen" filter was used one too many times. might want to select the green selections and filter>noise>despeckle one or two times to eliminate the pixelization. adversely, i might mask the head of the grasshopper, and "despeckle" the rest of the unselected image.

These were shot early in the morning with a Canon S2. They were fairly small spiders so I was zoomed all the way in.

Shot with my Pentax *istDS, kit lens. That is not macro, so this is a bit of a crop. It was shot at ISO 800, cleaned up with Pictur Cooler.
