    Caterpillar

Here is a picture I took at the summer place in July. I think it's a future butterfly, or a caterpillar if you prefer that name... Part of the flower is overexposed, but that happened in post processing, where I wanted to make the caterpillar show more clearly.

Taken with my Canon Powershot S3IS.

Waaa!! That's a scary "bug-ger", rx_morph! Nice shot, though. What kind of spider is it? Is it poisonous?

    Thanks, Wesan.

It is indeed creepy! Then again I really hate any kind of spider. I believe it's a Banana Spider. As you can read from that link, it's poisonous but not nearly as much as some other spiders like the black widow and brown recluse.

That's a good one too, Rooz. You got the focus in the right spot. To me, being a teacher, it looks like it's raising its hand to answer a question at school - "I know! I know!".

I'm a newbie photographer with not that great of a camera (posted in signature).. However, I try my best to take good shots. This one happens to be my favorite out of my little collection of photos..

*The title says, "Day Before Hurricane Gustav".. That's because the day before the hurricane was a very beautiful day and will be remembered by the photos I shot..

Nice pics Guys. I don't normally comment on a lot of these, but a lot of good work is here. Thanks.
Here is one I shot today with my 100mm macro on a Xti. I don't normally take a shot of a fly, but there weren't any still butterflies
