    Green Spider

It might be a cousin to the one Rooz so artfully captured
I took this one two days ago perched on a sunflower.

    Crop of the little Guy

Isn't the sharpest crop I have seen, but maybe some insect person can identify what his/her proper name might be. Photo cropped from another I took that day.

    Excellent S3 Macro NoobS3

Are the red areas regional or seasonable / sex ? I would assume the spikes about their body are built for climbing. I don't know much about spiders except I know the dangerous ones around here. I have many species in the yard and most I feel are benificial for natural insect control.
Is the one Rooz posted a juvenile or just a cousin? The one I posted was about an inch in length.

    Message to Members

    Greetings to All,
I just wanted to post a note that the photo trip I was on had nothing to do with insects. I was shooting flying aircraft to evaluate how my new Fuji might perform at a airshow, but as I was waiting for another fly over my zeal to take many picture took over and I started shooting the dusty sunflowers along the road. The "Green Spider" happened to be silently present there. It isn't a great photo, but I found a place for it on here two days later.
Just goes to show no matter where you are as a photographer there just might be a photo opportunity just waiting for you. Keep a sharp eye out and above all have fun like I am.
