Damn wonder what shots could i post after all these great ones !!!
Nicely done y'all...
I too have following this thread closely. Jeff just continues to improve in leaps in bounds, except for our occasional attempts, This thread is dominated by an excellent close-up photographer. My Hat is off to you Jeff31, Very impressive photos. Please keep posting these fantastic shots, But, dont relax, cause we all want to create great shots such as yours.
as i lay awake at night, wondering how to take photos as good as jeff31, the solution struck me: use the best glass in the world. so i used a fantastic zeiss microscope, and shoved some ant exoskeletons from my assasin bugs into it. well, the lens is fantastic, but the camera that goes with the microscope is no good (2.5 MP, horribile banding, noisy)--so, here they are, still not as good as jeff31.
byt the way, the previos shot shows an ant exoskeelton from my assasin bugs, showing specifically the bite mark (on the thorax), + silk threads and attachment pads.
this one is of a homopteran (a little bug that secretes honey dew from the spout at the end, on caressing by ants)
ah Badams...wondeful shot...was it taken with the kit lens? maybe you should have cropped it to exclude all no relevant areas?
also, you should resize your images (less than 800x600) that way, guys who don't have high speed ADSL internet don't have to wait frustating times to see your image, and you can use a better JPEG quality...the pic will look better. resize in photoshop, and save.. "save for web"
