I hadn't seen anything like these b4 either, and the inflight shot that I posted on the Nikon POTD was one I hadn't seen either. 2 new species in one day, cool!
Now we will see what the remnants of Irene do to them, getting wind and rain now (8:25AM Sun.) supposed to last all day into the night.
Did you get any effects from Irene, there?

Have been offline for several days, upgrading the 'puter with new innards. New Asus MOBO, Phenom II proc., and 4 GB of ram. Also went to Win 7 on an SSD.
