This is one of my favorites. This dragonfly visits us all the time while my daughter and I are hanging out in the backyard. The funny thing is how natural it looks. If you were to take your eye away from behind the camera, you would see that the dragonfly is perched on a stick I duct taped to the ladder on our walmart above ground pool. I intentionally positioned myself so that wouldnt be seen of course, as my backyard currently looks like I should be living in a run down trailer. The picture is far from perfect I know, but it was taken with a Canon A510, which is a $199 3.2mp camera. The camera has been worth every penny.
Jeff31s' pictures are awesome as always. Hes da man!
here is my humble contribution. I hope that some day I would be able to take pictures that are half as good as he does!

Well I don't post much in this forum and there isn't an insect in the photo but I figured this was as close to a match as I could get for this shot. Taken with my Fuji F10 at about 7:30am. The sun was just right and I had a little bit of smoke wafting up from my smoker (pork tenderloin) when I spotted this web in the tree branches above the smoker. Hope you guys like it, it's harder than one might think to get a good web shot.
Paul
