The Awesome Power Of The Lumix Zoom!

How about if we all share some shots that show the awesome power of that big zoom lens?!?

Here's a series of demonstration shots I took with my FZ20. These were taken at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles during the Dodgers' home opener on April 12th. I was seated about 350 feet away from home plate. All shots were taken handheld with no tripod, no additional lenses, no tricks! I've resized them to fit the forum and to save bandwidth.

The first shot, taken with zoom all the way out in the fully wide position:

The second shot, taken with the full 12x optical zoom:

The final shot, taken with the full 48x digital zoom:

More samples from my FZ20 are posted on my web site at http://www.zimfamilycockers.com/Panasonic/

Now go ahead and post your photos that show the awesome power of the zoom lens on your Panasonic digital camera!

Jeff... surely you remember the game I took those photos at. The Giants took a 5-0 lead in the top of the first inning... eventually scored 3 more times for and 8-3 lead at one point... and STILL MANAGED TO LOSE THE GAME TO THE DODGERS!!!! HA HA HA

What an awesome team the Dodgers have this year! The best record in the major leagues, at this point in the season. Let's review... how are the Giants doing? Oh yeah, that's right... only playing .500 baseball. Hey, that's not going to get you in the playoffs!

I do admit the Giants have a nice ballpark, though!

Yes, yes I think I recall that game - the Giants taking 5-0 lead in the top of the first inning and stuff.
