    Japanese Iris after rain shower

Taken with the Sigma 18-200 in my backyard. They are more beautiful today than they were yesterday when this was taken.

Here's another one to add to the "bunch". I have read lately that Canon cameras are very accurate in replicating colours - it certainly seems to have caught this flower just as it was - extremely vivid.

Canon A80, outdoors, no flash, handheld, Zoom, Macro and Program AE modes, Ap f/4.5, Exp 1/500s, exposure compensation -1/3.

Great close up! Love the colors.

If you are a fan of A80 check out this gallery: http://www.flickr.com/photos/coyote/ Not mine but one that I visit often for the great pictures. The more recent ones are shot with eos300d

Thanks for the kind comments DiJ, Jeff31 and Alkaphunk. I think it was a shot waiting to be taken I just love the way the stripes draw your eye to the middle like some visual whirlpool.

Thanks DiJ for the link http://www.flickr.com/photos/coyote/. Like it very much - some masterful shots by a photographer who really is in tune with the subject matter and the camera. Also some great inspiration on centering flower shots.

    regards
