Wow Geoff you have some amazing stuff there! Is shooting flowers your specialty? If not it should be!
I don't know if I have a speciality - thanks for the encouragement though.
I guess I have liked photographing flowers for years - but not only flowers.
I just got myself a new lens - for general walkabout. I suppose this is part of
my lens evolution - a Nikon 16 - 85 which will basically replace the Sigma 17 - 70. However - the Sigma does go quite a lot closer - so I will keep it untill I get around to purchasing a dedicated macro
Meanwhile - close ups - even if not macro - are quite pleasing it seems
This is one of my first shots with the new lens....similar to one I took the other day on the Sigma:

I've attached another rose photo; black and white this time.
Can anyone tell me how to embed my photos within the entry?
I've seen how to attach and post a link but... do I need to use HTML?

Your photos are great, Geoff!
Thanks for the kind comment - we're all learning all the time!
If you want your photo within your entry you will need a host site - a photo
site such as Photobucket. Once you have uploaded some images you can copy
the address easily and paste it in your text with after
and it should work OK
(Try to resize to no higher than around 570 and no wider than 900)
Ah, okay. I do have a host website- Shutterfly but when I did the img before and after thing, it just put the link there. I think maybe I copied the wrong link. I'll try again later.
Thanks for the tips!!

The whites in this one look much better. Nice shot!

After you attach the photos, click the paper clip again and it will list the photos there. Then click on them to place them in the text. Shrink them down though.

I could tell you but I wouldn't want you to get all pissy if it's the wrong brand
