    Forget-me-not

Thank you bald eagle and speaklightly for the kind remarks - I was rather pleased with the poppy a bit of a change from my usual diffuse lighting.

Here are some forget-me-nots or Myosotis [probably sylvatica].

To kuroneko - particularly liked your first shot of the weeds against the blue sky - super shot with strong composition.

    Regards

Truly a fantastic shot. very impressive. I would agree with you, you are no longer in the Point and Shoot category.

Awesome DOF on that one. Which lens of choice is this with?

that was with my thrifty fifty on my ol' 350D.
I love this little lens. Very good optics and bokeh for next to nothing. I paid 58 bucks for it!

The one above it, the cactus's background is not as blurred because it is about 1.5" from the cactus. If it were say, 5" or more, the background would be solid brown and buttery smooth.
I couldn't help that the cactus was only 1.5" tall. That picture was taken with the Sigma 20mm f/1.8. That lens can produce some really nice bokeh, under normal situations.
