    Phil - those shots look great to me!
    Love the colour too - you got those close ups nice and sharp
    you can see the fine hairs on the buds/seeds.
    Personally I think non DSLR's can take excellent close up shots
    as long as the ISO isn't pushed too high - plus they have the
    assistance of extra depth of field - which is helpfull at times.

    We went to the Columbus Rose Festival this weekend. The roses were past their prime, but it still gave me a little practice with my mk-III.

    Geoff, great pictures.
    You really did a very good job controlling the depth of field in those.

    The bokeh in the last one is great, it has a beautiful patern.
