Here's a Yellow rose from the Plant in the front garden - in it's natural surroundings and basically, appart from framing and resizing, this is it as you see it.
The red of those velvetty dark red roses is practically impossible to nail with a digital camera Geoff.
I have tried many times!
I took this one early in the morning.
Got to say I like the morning and late afternoon lighting!!
That is such a lovely shot - the colours are great!.
My rose is the closest yet and appart from the slight pink tinge on the petals
(sure I could play around with it - but this was basically straight off the camera)
I am totally happy with it - think I have a handle on the red in camera settings now (as best as I can expect)
Lovely 'oranges' again Rooz.
Looks to me like Sigma macros work well - I am certainly very impressed with the macro on the 17 - 70
No piccies just now - I'm a bit bogged down with work
More soon
Geoff
Tried pushing my little TZ1 a bit in macro & got this. Not the quality of your dslr shots Geoff & Rooz but I was quite pleased with the result. straight from camera with just a bit of cropping. I think it is a small geranium as the flower was about 30mm across in total.
Around every picture there's a corner & round every corner there's a picture
- the fun's in finding them
