Exactly the same photo as abopve - except the aperture way open
resulting in far less depth of field (compare)
    f3.5 & 1 20th sec
Background blurring is nice - but part of the flower starts to suffer
    again comments welcome

(EDIT~:Sorry - didn't realise it was going over the page)

No doubting the quality of the shot at all - nicely done
I would be intrested if there werea few diffewrent exposures to compare - also being head on it's a bit two dimensional
Aside from those comments - it's a lovely simple shot - not sure you need the twig on the left, I know it's part of the same plant - maybe a crop and clone job??

I like the close up macro/crops showing the yellow in the centre

Here's a conventional view of the same Passion Flower
The Plant gets cut right back to a twig every year - then grows and spreads hugely with lots of flowers and fruits

Geoff, very interesting flower with superb colour combination. TFS. Have you taken any flower pics with your Olympus C740UZ? I do have C750UZ whose macro works fantastic.

Yes I have - the 740 was my first digi camera. Very good macro - lovely little camera. Macro at wide angle end only. I prefer the A-200 for it's more natural colours and higher resolution - but the Oly always produces very pleasing photos
