Some really excellent shots on this page! I photographed the flowers below a few weeks ago, and today they were looking fairly tired and ready to collapse. Summer is so short...

Edit: Point of interest - on my 15.4" laptop with a WXGA screen (1280 by 800), this is sharp as a tack. I then looked at it on three different tube monitors at the public library. There were three different color casts and with all of them it was like looking through wax paper. I'll bet at least some of the hundreds of millions who view the DCRP are saying, "Boy, this guy could use a tutorial."

DOF is not to my taste, but was difficult to get a deeper one.

Nice composition Adiseshanaik. It looks like a little sunflower.

This is a New England Aster (even though it grows in Ontario ):

And this is a bunch of purple daisies in a pot:

    Wink

Gstafleau, I don't think there is any flower in the nature which you have not photographed . You have got a great energy to spend time for taking photographs of these flowers. I have seen more posts by you than anybody else in this thread.

Your taste looks fine to me. Your flower shots are just beautiful. Care to give us any technical details (camera, lens, etc)?

    Regards,
    Bill

Hi Bill, thanks for liking. Most of my flower photos are from 150mm Sigma macro lens. If the frame is too tight, I use Canon 85/1.8 lens. All are from 350D/Rebel XT. Regards, Adiseshanaik

Here is one more from my gallery
