Really like the subject matter here; however what is suppose to be the point of focus. As is, it's the stem, a couple of buds at the top and the flower on the far left. Best to give your viewer just one thing to draw their attention to OR increase your DOF to get the whole flower. I like the tree as a backround, however moving to the right a little more could have put the whole tree in instead of having big overexposed white space in upper right corner. The flower was a GREAT choice...orchid if I am not mistaken. Nice clean pedels!!!

EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT!!!! I have to work on my DOF. Your gerb is much cleaner than mine was. Mine were in my back yard and had some water spots on them...possibly a little sun scorched too. Yours is REALLY clean!!!

Thanks! - I think it was BECAUSE it's indoors, nice and clean - no sun bleaching. I just under exposed it a bit to make it look right.

Not sure of the name of these - something like Ranulous
Anyway - this was out in the sun - it looked almost like crepe paper

    Thumbs up Very nice

Welcome back Geoff - nice couple of shots those last ones, I find red flowers very difficult to capture properly they always seem to look overblown & lack detail when I try.
Around every picture there's a corner & round every corner there's a picture
    - the fun's in finding them

Sorry I don't remember which camera you are using, but try changing the color mode to Ia, and turn down the in-camera saturation to neutral or normal. I think that like many cameras yours is clipping the reds. If you can shoot in RAW this is a much easier problem to fix.
