Both taken with my Rebel XT and kit lens... have only had it for 1400 shots (about 3 weeks). Both also compressed for the web.

The second is a little out of focus, but I am still learning.

eggrole - great shots with your new camera - please post some more.
Here's this mornings contributions - more Pansy power!
We have a pot outside the front door - I got tempted when I arrived home from night shift - so I shot a couple off quickly. Low light and shaky, but AS came to the rescue.
A-200: - Purple flower - 5th sec, F5.6, -0.7 ev, Iso 100, 200mm Macro (pushing AS almost beyond the limit!!)
Yellow flower was similar - except a wider F3.5 apperture and 30th sec shutter
and I brightened it up after as I forgot to cancel the -0.7ev

I try to steer towards F5.6 as the lens seems a touch sharper there.
    More soon

Geoff, I love the first one. It has an eerie look of sharpness. Here is an old one I took with my a95:

What do you think of this? First time out in a garden with my Sigma 70-300mm. It was approaching evening, so it was hard to capture some good macro shots with it. In some of the images the noise seemed high.

    Nemisis of the A200??

This flower - I think it's a Scottish rose? - has been most tricky for the A-200.
Because it requires Tele-macro to capture it close up best, it tends to have a shallow depth of field.
However, now I come to post this shot I am starting to think otherwise.
First the orig untampered shot: -
    A-200, Iso 100, 200th sec, F3.5,-0.3ev, 200mm telemacro
