Its been a while since I posted here too. I was going to post this on the small world thread but as you posted that nice bee & flower shot Dennis I thought I'd put in on here. Straight from the camera just downsized & cropped a bit. This bee was basking in the sun & didn't move very quickly hence the capture I have a few others I'll post on Small World with a bit more movement when I get time. Taken with FZ20 at f2,8, 1/125s, iso 100 & 6mm focal length.
Wow... Seeing a photo such as this gives me a lot of inspiration. Your flower is so crisp and clean, the color so vibrant and full.
I am a newbiw here and haven't yet gotten my camera, its coming by mail (Canon S2).The pic that I have posted was taken with a P&S, HP PhotoSmart 2.1 mps. It may be inferior to what you have posted but oh, I have had fun with it and being my first digital, it opened a whole new world for me. I am hoping that I can do the Canon justice, living in the Pacific Northwest, there is no end to the creative shots that are in my backyard.

You may not have noticed it, but Fall is (almost) here (this only works if you live North of the tropics, of course). The imminent arrival of Fall in Canada is heralded by a very Canadian plant: Canada Goldenrod, Solidago canadensis (Asteraceae). As you see, the word "Canada" is in the name twice . It flowers from August all the way into October.

The whitish flower is Hedge Bindweed, Calystegia sepium.
Not got much to post at the moment - busy times!
After the passion Flower comes the Fruit - here's the first
sign of it - I think it changes colour next.
