    hi !
if you allow me to , i'd say that your light is great, and the light games on the background work fine.
But... To me there's a too small depth of field.
Some parts of the flowers aren't in focus...

We don't always have to get in right up close - I actually like seeing flowers in their natural environmnet - maybe a slight background blur to make them stand out.
Thanks Geoff for the nice comment. I agree that we don't always have to get up close. I thought this shot was kinda neat because it had the one flower that was so much taller than the other ones, hence the title "Watching Over the Kids". I liked your honeysuckle shot and am waiting for the others from you. Thanks again!

(Quote) This picture is taken in my living room of flowers in vase. I did put blank white A4 to background and added an extra light on the ground. Later I did some Photoshop retouching and here is the result:

    lucky: -
It's creative and I don't really think mistakes is a word to use - alternative ideas may be better. I think you have enjoyed experimenting with the pic and the background and that you should do a whole load of them and then look and see which pleases you the most - make notes on how each one was done.
Thanks for sharing - please post a few more.

    I think its a weed

Went out Saturday for a stroll with some good friends - and yes! I took the camera!!!
This Rodedendrum was growing everywhere and in various colours - I found this one in the shade, and a paler colour which I quite liked.
I may well post another later - but I am off out for the afternoon now.
Keep posting everyone - this is going really well.

Yes Geoff, it's the same flowers. The difficulty with these flowers is they are ofen at the shade of a tree.
    Another variation around this flower:
