Finally - 2 pics, side by side, of lower down on the plant
I would say tree - but it is still quite small.
(All taken with the Tamron - my prefered lens for general plant shots that
aren't specifically macro)

That lens performs well. Nice bokeh and I love the subtle shades of white in that very last shot.

Since most of the critters were hiding from the heat I felt sorry for these flowers and took thier picture.

Thanks Geoff. I will admit it it is not unprocessed. The one flower in the lower left was the main plane of focus, but I thought it needed a little extra pop. I used a heavily feathered elliptical mask around it and added a bit of extra lens blur to the other flowers. I inverted the same mask and hit the flower with a little unsharp masking. Some photos are documents and others are works that are in the mind's eye.

Not sure what it is, but I took it in Inverwe, Scotland with my Nikon D300 with an 18-200mm zoom lens.

Both interesting flowers. Seems that there is a little loss of detail in the red one. Perhaps the reds are clipping a bit?
