Hi everyone,
new to the site and photography in general, other than b-day parties and vacation picture taking.
I just got a Canon 30D, lenses, and such (saved for over two years ),
and look forward to learning tips and tricks on this forum.
Here is a pic of my son's Beagle, Barkley. I know it is close up but I'm at work and only have this one. I may post some more when I'm a bit more confident.
Please let me know what you think... i already have a ton of ?'s, but will save those for other threads.

Not my dog.... and not a particularly great photo as it just didn't feel right taking photos at all... but nevertheless felt it important I share this. Went to an animal rescue shelter today, found it very upsetting - and these are the lucky ones. A good thing for those considering buying a dog to bear in mind..
having had "Tank" join our family, and be with us for over a month now or so...
well he is just the sweetest, most well mannered dog ever! He is bursting with love and is the ultimate family pet! Please people, as stated above, there are many dogs like this one that need to be saved, and given a good home. Go check out your local rescue site or local pound. Theres lots of good dogs out there deserving good homes that are otherwise doomed.
