    choosing filter size

hello, I'm new to the slr , digital slr game.

I got the canon 300d rebel for a good deal with the 15-55mm and 80-200mm lense.

I'm looking at UV and polarize filters.

But when shopping for the size, i did not know what size to buy. How do I know which size of filter i need to get?

Hwo can i tell based on the lense I have?

    Thanks.

Look on the front of the lens, it will have the focal length (eg 15-55) and it will have the apeture range (eg 3.5-5.6) and somewhere it will also have the filter size (eg 58mm)

Filter size is normally indicated underneath the lens cap.
