Question Reducing size (MB) of pictures?

    Hello,

I have taken some pictures with my Pan FZ20 (5 MegaPixels), but now I would like to send some of the pictures by email> Do you know if there is a way to reduce the size of the files? for example, reducing the picture resolution to transform a 5 mp file (1,700 kb) into a file of around 500 kb?

    Thank you and regards

    Antonio

What image editing software do you have? Most will allow you to reduce the size while constraining so image quality isn't lost.

If you use Window$ XP, there is a free Power Toy that you can use.

It's a few down on the right.

Once installed, all you need do is right click on the image and you will see Resize Image in the menu.
    All the best, Paul.

    Thank You, Paul-

I'll give it a try. It might be easier that having to move over to the software package.
