That is pretty amazing! I love the panarama shots. I'm sure you used a tripod, right? Or had the steadiest hand in the world

Very nicely done John. I'd love to make that trip one day.

No, I didn't use a tripod, but I guess the image stabilizer helps "steady the hand?" Shutter speed wasn't so slow: 1/125, so not that much of a challenge. The Panorama Maker program forgives lots of sins when stitching panels together, but two things I've found are to keep a "normal" focal length (I used ~65mm here), and shoot in manual exposure so that your lighting conditions don't change between panels. Glad you liked the shot(s)!

That is a wonderful panorama, John!

Beautiful. I wish I had a wide-screen computer monitor! Does your camera take panoramic shots, or did you use a "stitching" software of some type?
-
I use Stitching software...
The Panasonic cameras all come with some Arcsoft photos tools on a CD. This one is "Panorama Maker 3," which can make linear panoramas like mine, and also lets you tile photos where your panorama is made of rows of photos (don't know how many rows it'll accommodate). Glad you like the pano!

Excellent! My Nikon allows me to do panoramas. You've given me inspiration!
