Very nice!

Not handheld. I did bring along my travel sized Vanguard, it won't hold the big zooms, but is fine for the 12-60.

I actually thought that panther waterfall shot was really small. I was very suprised when you said it was 100ft. It's a really nice shot.

Not been on here for quite a while so I thought I'd come and have a nose around. Found this thread and decided to try and post some of my waterfall shots, taken earlier this summer at Lumsdale Valley in Derbyshire

Steve,
Looks like some nice locations. I like the first and third ones best.

Those are very good. I agree the first and third are best, but I think the 2nd might have potential if the camera is pointed a little farther left and possibly placed more toward the center of the stream.

Thanks for the comments . It's a lovely location, only about 30 minutes drive from home, and I will be going there again when the leaves are falling and colours changing, will take my wellies next time so that I can try some different places to shoot from

Steve,
It definitely looks like a great Autumn location. And water friendly shoes and gear will be nice. Hope for a good overcast day to help keep the highlights under control.

Hi Steve, they are lovely shots . It looks like quite a hidden spot. Lumsdale Valley is somewhere I've not heard of so will definitely have to google it. Have you settled in with the new kit now?

Thanks Phill . Lumsdale is a stunning location which I had driven past many times without knowing. I found some pictures of it on the internet one evening and decided to go and have a look. It's so peaceful and somewhere where I could easily spend several hours just wandering back & forth looking for different locations to take photo's from. Can't wait to go back and take some more shots!!
